A family of Love Pursuing Excellence
The Connally Family Reunion traces its ancestry back to two revered patriarchs: Albertus B. Connally and William Connally. This site has been created to honor their memories and celebrate their descendants to ensure that we shall forever be a family and never forget the sacrifices that were made for us. Our commitment is to uphold their contributions and continue to strengthen our family.
Albertus B. Connally was born on January 16, 1850, in Georgia (city and county undocumented at this time). He married Frances Hunt on November 3, 1878, in Fayette County, GA.
Albertus and Frances had eight children: Robertha, James Harvey, Dorenda Ruth, Orphelia, Thomas Arthur, George Luther, Mary, and Margaret. Albertus also had a son, Herbert Washington, born in Mobile, Alabama. His mother was Lizzie Logan.
William Connally born in 1830 in Georgia. He was a Brick Mason and lived in Griffin, Georgia in 1880. and married Weannette Connally (born 1837). Though we have few details about their union, we know that they had five children and lived in Griffin, from at least 1880 until they passed in the early 1900's

The first celebration of the Connally Family was held in July 1975. Sixty-eight members of the Connally Family were reunited at the Holiday Inn in Griffin, GA, to share memories, fellowship, and celebrate their roots.
In the 1990s, the reunion grew to include the descendants of William and Weannete Connally of Griffin, GA. With joy and grateful hearts, we celebrate their contributions and honor their memories as well. Forty-two years after the first reunion, we continue our family reunion tradition and expand on its ideals to reach deeper into our ancestral tree and strengthen each living branch.
This site will help our family members gain a better and deeper understanding of our family history, our shared stories, and our wonderful family traditions and memories.
Our goal is simply to strengthen our families and never forget: “From whence we came.”
